Grilled pork tenderloin at the Shriners booth at the Indiana State Fair. What next?

As with most cities I’ve visited, I bit of beauty and charm that I wasn’t expecting.

Gonna be a fairly quiet day. This morning, laundry at the hotel followed by a trip to Target. This afternoon, the Indiana State Museum in downtown Indianapolis (mostly to buy a fridge magnet at the museum store) then maybe a bit of a walking tour of downtown Indianapolis.

Tomorrow, the Indiana State Fair.

Ten weeks in and I’ve completed ten states (Indiana will be eleven). One state per week is about the pace I expected.

Ten weeks in…

Today, for the first time, I used the Hilton app for more than just booking a room. This morning, I used the app to check in to tonight’s hotel, even selecting my room. Then, tonight when I got to the hotel, bypassed the front desk and used the app to unlock my room door. No keycard required. Very cool!

Southern Michigan into northern Ohio – every farmhouse and most houses in the small towns were all having yard sales! Many looked like large, well organized events, as if they do this every weekend. Then after a maybe 50 mile stretch, not a yard sale to be found. Weird.
