New York is next.

I’ve been buying clothing from L. L. Bean for maybe 30 years now, first by mail order and now of course, via their website. However, until today, I’d never been in one of their stores. This isn’t just any store, this is the mothership, Bean’s Flagship store in Freeport, Maine. 

I didn’t plan on visiting Portland, Maine for southern cooking either but once again, close to my hotel. 

Excellent local oysters and shrimp ‘n grits with red eye gravy. Wonderful 😋

As with most of the places I’ve visited on this trip, I wasn’t sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised – another lovely city.
