Once again, nearing saltwater 😋

Knoxville, Tennessee to Richmond, Virginia – gonna take all day

From Memphis, Tennessee to Knoxville, Tennessee, where I’ll spend a single night. My next destination city is Richmond, Virginia, Knoxville is about halfway between Memphis and Richmond.

Yet another beautiful city, this on the Mississippi River. Much better weather than the low 40’s on Saturday in Louisville. Today the high was near 70.

Beale Street was mostly as expected – lots of bars, restaurant and nightclubs, even one that had live music on an outdoor stage on a Monday afternoon. I was surprised however, that the “entertainment district” on Beale Street was actually rather small, only about three blocks (I was expecting it to go on and on). Still, a cool place to visit.

Seemed appropriate for the drive to Memphis

Today I drive from Louisville, Kentucky to Memphis, Tennessee, where I’ll spend two nights. I’ll be right in the heart of Memphis, about a block off of Beale Street. Weather should be much warmer, upper 50’s today and mid-60’s tomorrow.
