Unfortunately, the trails along the Boise river were closed due to the high volume of water in the river.

I walked nearly 10 miles this morning.

Verdict? So-so burger and fries, nothing special

Last day in Boise. Looks like it’s gonna be a good day outside, sunny and high near 70. I’m planning on walking through downtown and then through one of the parks along the Boise river. Maybe a museum if there’s time. 

Had a good drive today, took a more scenic route than just heading west on I-84

Stopped in a little town call Picabo, Idaho. The only business in town could best be described as a gas station and general store. Had a hot dog and a coke for lunch for $4.74. Store was cool and kinda funky. I’m glad I stopped.

This afternoon in Boise is about 60 degrees with off and on rain, more constant rain expected tomorrow. So, tomorrow I may be looking for indoor activities (I’m sure I can find a museum or two) with better “walking around town” weather on Tuesday. I’ll be leaving Boise Wednesday morning.

For the first time this trip, I’m going somewhere I’ve never been before – Boise, Idaho. I’ve heard great things about Boise so I’m planning on staying three nights. I hope it lives up to its hype!

At the very least, I’ll be able to get an Idaho rainbow trout dinner.
