It worked yesterday and it worked again today – gumbo and grilled shrimp (at a different restaurant though)

I’ll be in Texas for another nine nights.

In Galveston, Texas. 32,678 miles since May 29th of last year.

On the Gulf of Mexico so shrimp – gumbo and grilled with rice & veg 😋

From Dallas, Texas to Galveston, Texas. One last chance, on this trip anyway, to visit the Gulf of Mexico. I’ll be in Galveston for three nights.

Fairly short drive from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Dallas, Texas. I’ll likely avoid freeway driving today.

This will be the first of eleven nights in Texas. One night in Dallas, three nights each in Galveston, Austin and San Antonio and then one night somewhere in West Texas on my way to New Mexico.

As with most cities I’ve visited, I had no idea what to expect in Oklahoma City and was quite pleasently surprised. It’s really a lovely city, well worth visiting.

Some areas included in this post:

• Bricktown, a neighborhood just south of downtown. It has a minor league baseball stadium and a wonderful canal walk which connects to the Oklahama river. The sculpture tribute to the 1889 land rush was quite impressive.
• Business and residential area north of downtown. Some very impressive homes.
• The memorial on the site of the 1995 Federal Building bombing.
• A few shots of some shiny downtown buildings.
