Through both reproduction and restoration, displays a portion of Williamsburg as it appeared in the early 1770’s, when it was the capital of the colony of Virginia. Richmond became the capital of the state of Virginia after the Revolutionary War.
I drove this yesterday, fascinating. Across the mouth of Chesapeake Bay, it consists of six bridges (three northbound, three southbound) and two tunnels (one lane of traffic each way). Total of about 13 miles, I think.
