Didn’t realize my hotel was right next to Progressive Field (used to be Jacobs Field). Too bad the Indians are out of town during my stay. 

I had a wonderful time in Chicago, got to see quite a bit of what I intended and some that I had not: Sears Tower, Navy Pier, River Tour, Art Institute. Some stuff I wanted to see but missed: Shedd Aquarium, Planetarium, Field Museum.

Ate Chicago Style deep dish pizza (I still prefer NY thin crust), Chicago hot dog (I still prefer just mustard and onion), didn’t get an Italian beef (should have).

If I’m still traveling next spring, may have to visit again.

Today, I drive from Chicage to Cleveland, Ohio where I’ll spend three nights. Not sure what I’ll do in Cleveland other than the Rock and Roll hall of fame, but I expect I’ll find a few surprises.

Oh, and for those keeping track, when I leave Chicago today I’ll be entering the Eastern Time Zone, where I’ll expect I’ll remain for quite some time.
