Road Trip – Thoughts After Nine Weeks

Wow, this trip is as good if not better than I thought it might be. Some observations on the trip so far…

  • Nine weeks seems like nothing, though it’s nearly three times as long as any other trip I’ve ever taken
  • Every city has its own charm, often unexpected charm
  • There are lots of good, friendly people out there just waiting to be met
  • I thought changing hotel rooms every few days, sometimes every day, would start to be a drag, but I’m cool with it. Just a new life routine
  • I love anticipating each new day and each new adventure
  • There’s a whole lot of great food out there the I knew nothing about, and there will be lots more
  • Nothing, nothing is better than traveling

Road Trip Day 63 – Today’s Route

Nine Weeks into my trip…

Today I’ll drive from Escanaba, Michigan to Traverse City, Michigan. The last city I’ll pass through in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, St. Ignace, is the end of US-Highway 2 (the western leg, anyway, there’s an eastern leg that runs from northern New York State to Northern Maine).

I plan on spending two nights in Traverse City.
