Fairly quiet day today. I’ll drive north from Jackpot, NV to Twin Falls, ID (only about an hour drive). There are a couple of attractions in Twin Falls I’ll visit – The Snake River Gorge (were Evel Knievel attempted to jump the Snake River in a rocket powered motorcycle) and Shoshone Falls, some times referred to as the “Niagara of the West”.

Tonight, a quiet (non-casino) evening at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twin Falls.

Tomorrow? Some ideas but nothing booked yet.

Leaving Reno today and heading to Jackpot, Nevada, a tiny town (population 1,195) in northeast Nevada, just south of Twin Falls, Idaho. There’s really not much there, just four casinos and a golf course. I’ll be spending just one night.

Spending one full day in Reno. I’ll likely walk around the big downtown casinos (mostly to find somewhere to have dinner), then the Truckee River Walk through downtown. Relaxing day.

After three great days in San Francisco, it’s time to move on.

Today I’ll be driving to Reno, Nevada. First stop will be Suds n’ Duds, a cool laundromat in Reno (I’m running out of clean clothes), then I’ll be spending two nights at the Silver Legacy Hotel & Casino. After that? Well, I have some ideas, but not sharing just yet.
